Water Treatment Plant field trip
Today we ventured out to a local water treatment plant for a tour. Carl took the morning off to join us and I had planned to stay home with William but he was crushed at the idea of being left out of a field trip. So we packed up and headed out and as I had thought William was both underwhelmed by the tour and overwhelmed by the noises. It was an interesting tour - the tour guide was excellent. The parents had a lot of questions and we had an excellent turn out.

Field Trip: Grocery Store
This week we went on a field trip to the local grocery store. We toured the store, tasted fresh ground peanut butter, talked to the meat counter manager (he broke open an oyster to see the oyster inside!), got to see the giant cardboard compacter in action and we even went through the dairy refrigerator and saw where the milk gets put out for purchase. It was fun and the boys did a great job walking, holding hands and listening to the manager who took us on our tour.

The Alphabet
We aren't pushing letter writing, knowing it will come with time. We practice when he wants to and try to create moments where writing is fun.Last week our fun moment was with chalk. Both boys helped me sing the ABC's while I wrote the big letters down the walkway and then Zachary sat down and got to work writing the entire alphabet. He did awesome.
He still struggles a bit with V, W, K - getting that angle is a challenge for him.
But look at that perfect pink M!
Stretching on the letters...
Making letters with wooden construction toys (and looking a little demonic!)
W has been doing a great job of counting objects
Silly kids -
